hey i've done the seat mod as well (bout an inch with some nylon spacers and longer bolts. so far so good (seriously thinking about some cafe bars sometime in the next couple years though, and a supertrapp, and tearing into the carb, and and..etc.). itch just doesn't go away i guess.
had an all-day ride with a big group of harley riders a couple wkends ago. definitely a good group of people. guess everyone's pretty much got a sweet-spot for their own ride (your neighbor prolly just can't help hisself). don't think i'd turn down a sportster myself if someone offered me an even trade (heh).
